What an incredibly clever and subtly moving week of tributes to mothers and motherhood this has been.
My favourite today is undoubtedly Eriic Clapton and his ‘mother’. Such extraordinary arrangements were all to commonplace until the very recent past.
Clapton is a living piece of social history as well as a ‘rock god’.
